how to be responsive not reactive – 2024
I will probably never swim with dolphins, but I can in Roblox. I wanted to explore the teachings of Ram Dass through a digital lens to connect my virtual identity to my sense of self.
This video was created as a part of DADlines at the Digital Art Demo Space in Chicago, IL. Thank you to Thorne Brandt for hosting such a wonderful creative space with an amazing community to share ideas and make art.
contradiction & paradox – 2024
This video was made using found footage as a part of [//sense] found || not found, an exquisite corpse of shorts by 26 artists repurposing found footage through appropriation, and was screened as a part of a longer, 100-minute piece at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago, IL on May 22nd, 2024.
Footage from YouTube and archive.org was used and has been edited in Premiere, After Effects and VDMX6 to create this final found footage piece
crunchwrap and parliaments – 2022
One time a very sad man told me that the best thing in his life was sitting in his car and eating a cunchrwrap supereme while smoking a single parliament.
I made this video with him in mind and it was a selected entry for the 2022 Taco Bell Film Festival which took place on Saturday, March 5 2022 at The Elysian in Los Angeles, CA and was simultaneously broadcasted online via Twitch.
This was made using Taco Bell footage as well as footage of myself that has been distorted through a circuit bent analog video mixer.
This video also screened at Glitch Art Is Dead in Granite Falls, MN from Sept 6-10 2022
